Thermography in Cache Valley
Thermography is a physiological imaging method that uses advanced infrared technology to measure heat patterns on the surface of the body.
Because circulation, inflammation, nerve activity, and metabolic processes influence temperature, thermography provides insight into how the body is functioning, rather than focusing only on structure.
Thermography is:
Non-invasive
Radiation-free
Contact-free
Safe for repeated use
Appropriate for adults of all ages
Thermography does not diagnose disease. It helps identify abnormal thermal patterns and establishes a baseline that can be monitored over time.
Ready to get started?
Thermography does not replace conventional imaging such as mammograms, ultrasounds, CT scans, or MRIs. Instead, it offers complementary physiological insight.
Traditional imaging focuses on structure — what tissue looks like.
Thermography focuses on function — how tissue is behaving.
Key differences:
Thermography uses no radiation
Thermography involves no compression
Thermography can be safely repeated
Thermography evaluates physiological activity rather than anatomy
Because of this, thermography is often used as an adjunctive tool alongside other forms of imaging and clinical evaluation.
Thermography may be a good fit for individuals who:
Want a non-invasive way to monitor health changes
Prefer radiation-free imaging options
Are interested in establishing a baseline
Want to track patterns over time rather than wait for symptoms to escalate
Experience ongoing concerns without clear answers
Value proactive, informed decision-making
Many people choose thermography during times of increased stress, hormonal transition, or when they want a clearer picture of how their body is adapting.
Thermography Can:
Identify abnormal thermal patterns
Highlight areas of inflammation or altered circulation
Establish a baseline for future comparison
Support clinical decision-making
Help guide appropriate referrals when needed
Thermography Cannot:
Diagnose disease
Replace conventional imaging
Predict outcomes
Serve as a standalone diagnostic tool
Thermography is best used as part of a thoughtful, integrated approach to health monitoring.
Women are tired of guessing about their breast, hormone, and whole-body health. Thermography gives you clear, early insights into what’s happening beneath the surface — safely, comfortably, and without radiation.
By detecting subtle physiological changes, thermography helps you take control of your health long before problems become structural.
Breast Thermography
Breast thermography is the most commonly requested thermography service and often serves as the starting point for many women.
It is used to observe thermal patterns in breast tissue and may be especially helpful for women who:
Want radiation-free breast monitoring
Have dense breast tissue
Are between routine mammograms
Are under 40
Are postpartum, perimenopausal, or hormonally shifting
Want to establish a baseline and track change over time
Torso thermography includes the chest, abdomen, and back.
This scan is often used to observe thermal patterns related to:
Inflammation
Digestive or hormonal stress
Musculoskeletal strain
Nervous system regulation
Areas of chronic tension or compensation
Torso thermography can provide helpful insight when symptoms feel “off,” but answers remain unclear.
Full-Body Thermography
Full-body thermography provides a comprehensive view of thermal patterns throughout the body.
It may highlight:
Areas of chronic or systemic inflammation
Asymmetrical nerve activity
Compensation patterns
Regions that may benefit from further evaluation
Many clients choose full-body thermography to better understand how different systems in the body may be interacting or responding to stress over time.
When you arrive, you’ll spend 10–15 minutes in a temperature-controlled room to allow your skin to acclimate.
This ensures your scan captures your body’s natural thermal patterns with accuracy.
Your scan takes 15–30 minutes depending on the region(s). All our imaging techs are female.
There is:
No touching
No compression
No radiation
No discomfort
Just stand comfortably while our medical-grade infrared camera captures your thermal images.
Step 3 — Expert Interpretation of Your Images
Your images are analyzed by PACT Board-Certified Thermologists through Breast Thermography International (BTI), ensuring you receive the highest level of clinical accuracy and detail.
You’ll receive a comprehensive digital report, followed by a review with Dr. Tyler Shearer, who will explain your results clearly and answer every question.
You walk away knowing exactly what your images mean — and what to do next.
$297
Best for: early breast health monitoring & annual screenings.
Breast thermography provides a detailed view of thermal and vascular patterns in the breasts, helping identify inflammation, hormonal activity, lymphatic changes, or early physiological shifts long before structural imaging.
Ideal for women who:
Want radiation-free breast screening
Have dense breast tissue
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
Have a family history of breast cancer
Want to establish a baseline for annual monitoring

Many clients choose thermography because it:
Feels proactive, not reactive
Provides information without fear-based pressure
Respects the body’s signals
Allows change to be tracked over time
Supports informed, confident health decisions
Thermography doesn’t tell you what to fear. It helps you understand what to watch.
Yes. Thermography is completely non-invasive, radiation-free, and involves no compression or contact. It is safe for women of all ages, including during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
No. Thermography shows physiological changes (heat, inflammation, vascular patterns), while mammography shows structural changes.
They are complementary, not interchangeable.
For the most complete picture, many women use both.
Your images are interpreted by PACT Board-Certified Thermologists through BTI, ensuring high-level clinical accuracy. Thermography can detect early physiological changes that may appear years before structural imaging shows anything.
All scans are reviewed by BTI’s PACT Board-Certified Thermologists — a three-tiered physician review process — then your results are explained in detail by Dr. Tyler Shearer.
For accurate imaging, please avoid:
- deodorant
- lotion
- makeup on the chest/upper body
- exercise within 2–3 hours
- hot showers right before your scan
You’ll receive full instructions when you book.
Insurance typically does not cover thermography, but HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Most appointments last 30–45 minutes, including a brief cool-down period before imaging.
Many people begin with a baseline scan and repeat imaging as recommended to track changes over time. We recommend annual scans to monitor changes over time. Some patients benefit from a 3–6 month follow-up, depending on findings.
Thermography does not diagnose conditions. If concerning patterns are noted, appropriate referrals or follow-up imaging may be recommended.
